A summer holiday resort situated in the Małopolski Gorge of the Vistula.
Orginally founded in 1531 by the Firley Family featuring the ruins of a 16th century castle which has been partly rebuilt, a late-Renaissance church with tombstones designed by S. Gucci; a beautiful park located nearby is now the seat of an open-air museum with fine examples of manor house architecture; accessible from Kazimierz dolny by ferry.
