Has a reputation of a museum town, being included in the UNESCO List of Cultural Heritage as an object of a particular value and significance for national culture and history.It was founded by Chancellor Jan Zamoyski, an outstanding policitian and distinguished scholar, rectos of the Univerity of Padua. Zamość was designed by Bernardo Morando, an archtect from Venice. The sexteenth century Zamość, following the pattern of ideal Italian towns, was a multi-cultural city (Zamoyski invited the Armenians, Jews, Germans, Dutch to settle there).

- Market Square
A magnificient square of the perfectly preserved urban plan, including Twon Hall and arcaded tenement houses.
- St Thomas Cellegiate
1587-1597, one of the most magnificient Polish Renaissance temples, in the Zamoyski Memorial Chapel a tomb of Chancellor Jan Zamoyski, ine the treasury precious cellection of sacral art.

- The Zamość Museum
The Zamość Museum means not only the precious cellections but also magnificently preserved interios of the tenant houses at the Grand Market. Its part is the Arsenal - the Museum
of Colours and Weapons, presenting the history of the Zamość Fortress.
